Pipestone Veterinary Supply is one segment of the Pipestone Veterinary Clinic (PVC). The clinic, located in Southwest Minnesota at Pipestone, is staffed by six knowledgeable veterinarians and 12 friendly, well-trained support staff. While the clinic still performs traditional veterinary services, we have evolved to offer many non-traditional services to the sheep and swine industries.
Besides offering cutting-edge sheep information, PVC manages "The Pipestone System" of swine production. The Pipestone System consists of groups of family farmers who own shares in large-scale sow farms totaling in excess of 20,000 sows. Nursery and grow/finish stages of production occur on traditional family farms.
The system also includes a 1000-head boar stud which markets elite PIC genetics in the form of fresh semen both locally and across the U.S. The Pipestone System is a competitive employer in Southwest Minnesota, with more than 100 employees.
