Using a plastic rectal ring to repair. Ring is inserted into the rectum. |
| Using umbilical tape to tie a tourniquet around the rectum. The string will be held in place by the groove in the rectal ring. Prolapsed tissue will slough. Umbilical tape should be tied as tight as possible. |
This is a result of a prolapse that wasn't repaired soon enough. The rectum has torn and intestines have prolapsed. |
