Footrot
This ewe is too painful to stand on her front feet because of footrot.
Hoof trimming is essential in treating and controlling footrot.
While often confused with footrot a foot abscess (shown here) is quite different. The hooves are normal but there is a swelling in the soft tissue above the hoof. This is also called bumblefoot.
